If you are a little short waisted, it cuts you off a little bit. This may enhance your tummy. If you are concerned about this, go up a size and wear some kind of spanx/skims underneath.l to keep everything smooth. 2. If you have a bit of OCD about wrinkles, be a bit prepared to spend a fair amount of time to steam and iron this dress. We traveled with it and had a hard time getting the wrinkles out of the ruffles. Which is to be expected with this material. This dress is 100% as described and I received many, many compliments in it. If you are on the fence, give it a shot, it’s worth it!

I really loved this dress. In order to make it work, I did have to take it to a seamstress to alter both the waistline to shorten it and still keep the split ruffle which was very flattering on my short frame. I also had to have the bodice lined since it was sheer lace, and I’m uncomfortable with that. That cost me as much as the dress, but since it was for my son’s wedding, it was still a very affordable option. The 4 stars is really for the quality of the zipper. It was sticky to begin with. I’m not sure how long it will hold up. Overall, definitely worth the price especially if you don’t need all the alterations.
