## Description

Experience powerful whole-home cleaning with the Shark Vertex Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum, Shark's most powerful vacuum engineered for exceptional cleaning on carpets, area rugs, and hard floors. DuoClean PowerFins combines a soft front roller and PowerFins brushroll to maintain continuous cleaning contact, pulling in fine dust while digging deep into carpets to capture more dirt, debris, and pet hair in every pass (vs. original DuoClean). The self-cleaning brushroll delivers powerful pet hair pickup with no hair wrap (vs. Shark bristle nozzles), making this vacuum an excellent choice for homes with pets and long hair. Powered Lift-Away technology lets you detach the pod to clean under furniture with the motorized nozzle or easily clean stairs, upholstery, furniture, ceilings, and other above-floor surfaces using the included Dusting Brush and Pet Crevice Tool. Anti-Allergen Complete Seal works with a HEPA filter to trap 99.9% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum while cleaning (based on ASTM F1977 of particles 0.3 microns or larger), helping keep particles out of the air you breathe. The large 1-quart dust cup supports longer cleaning sessions and empties quickly for convenient debris disposal, while Active Glide Technology delivers smooth maneuverability across carpets and hard floors without sacrificing powerful suction. Bright LED headlights illuminate hidden dust, debris, and pet hair under furniture and along baseboards for a more thorough clean. Combining DuoClean PowerFins, Powered Lift-Away versatility, HEPA filtration, Active Glide Technology, and specialized tools, the Shark Vertex Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum delivers deep cleaning performance, powerful pet hair pickup, and exceptional multi-surface cleaning throughout your home.

Review: Picked Up Fine Dust Our Other Vacuums Left Behind - ★★★★★ Excellent Suction and Worth the Purchase I purchased the Shark Stratos AZ3002 after researching vacuums for my home, and I am extremely happy with my decision. This is an excellent vacuum cleaner with powerful suction, efficient performance, and easy operation. It does a thorough job and leaves the floors noticeably cleaner without requiring repeated passes. The vacuum feels well designed, maneuvers smoothly, and handles everyday household cleaning exceptionally well. It has delivered the strong, dependable performance I was looking for. I would absolutely recommend the Shark Stratos AZ3002 to anyone who wants a powerful and effective vacuum for their home. It was worth the purchase.
Review: I LOVE SHARK; THIS ONE IS AMAZING!!! - Ok, trying to keep it short. To say I am vacuum-obsessed is an understatement. My late husband used to slap his forehead on a regular basis at all the vacuums I would buy lol!! But I was always looking for the "next best thing" and companies are constantly coming out with new innovations. Let me assure you, the Shark Vertex is the gold standard, better than the newest innovations IMO. I got the Stratos - amazing vacuum but it was too heavy and I gave it to my daughter. Next I got the newest Power Detect. Same thing..too heavy and I am in my 60s. Gave it to my best friend. I love Shark. And I love this Vertex more than any I have ever owned. See the power in my short video. It snags dog hair before it reaches it. I have a cordless vacuum I use often because my Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix sheds enough hair every day to make another dog lol! While I like the quick grab-and-go convenience of a cordless, when you have a deep cleaning to do, nothing compares to corded power. So I bring this baby out once a week. Versatile as can be! The powered lift away feature is amazing and lets me get all the way under beds like a canister vacuum. I have a mix of carpeted bedrooms and hard floor in the main areas. I can use this effectively no matter what floor type. And I can also quickly dust my blinds with the dusting brush. So powerful it makes quick work of a dull task. You can use the hand tool or remove the whole wand for above board cleaning. I literally clean every surface with this amazing vacuum!! If there are any cons, I would like the hand tool to have a light. And it's still heavy but extremely maneuverable so no complaints. You will not go wrong buying the Vertex! The picture shows the dirt bin after I cleaned my small apartment, and after I had been using the cordless all week. Super powerful suction, amazing versatility and fully-sealed HEPA filtration make this Vertex a GOLD STAR VACUUM!!!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do you have to detach the tank to use the hose?**
A: Not at all. You can use the hose while attached to the whole vacuum, but for higher up spaces I would recommend detaching the tank and holding it as you vacuum. The hose isn’t super long.

**Q: can you turn off the power fins when vacuuming hard floors?**
A: Yes you can. The hard floor setting on the handle stops the power fin roller and increases suction. That with the soft roller is awesome on hard floors.

**Q: Can you turn odor neutralizer off?**
A: If you don't want the odor neutralizer feature, think about ordering the model that does not include that feature. I have the model without the odor neutralizer, and it is certainly the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned!

**Q: How does the Roller work on carpet and can I lift the roller up**
A: The roller works great on carpet. No you cannot lift the roller up.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best vacuum I've ever owned!
*by N***X on June 29, 2026*

This is probably the best vacuum I've ever owned. There are a host of things it does significantly better than the average ~$200-ish vacuum: suction, maneuverability, emptying, upright-to-canister swap, etc. This is by far the easiest to empty, compared to other bagless vacuums. Everyone has had to deal with hair/fur getting caught up in the top section of the dust bin of a bagless vacuum. Shark solved that not by trying to create a new vortex design, but by simply adding an easy to use button to open the top and dump it out. This means you just dump the dust and crumbs from the bottom first, then pop the top and dump any hair or other large clumps. The past three vacuums I've owned required me to dump the bottom and then either shove my hand up inside and drag the hair out, or twist and remove the central vortex guide that the hair gets wrapped around. My only complaint, if I had to force myself to come up with something would be that the dust bin is only about one half to one third the size of other, cheaper vacuums. Honestly, though, I still save an incredible amount of time using this vacuum because of how quickly I can empty it, even if I have to empty it twice as often. The switch from upright to lift-away canister vacuum is also quick and easy. I chose this vacuum for that feature and for its handling of long dog fur, and it has been worth it on both counts. My only real gripe with this vacuum is that you need to have a decent amount of wrist stength in order to handle it properly. The weight of the canister, the way it is mounted to the upright handle, causes the head to want to twist to one side or the other because of the way the head is mounted. This is a problem for many vacuums that have a fully-articulated neck joint, though uprights without a lift-away canister are generally mounted so that the weight of the dust bin isn't as pronounced as lift-away models are. I wouldn't recommend this vacuum for the elderly, or particularly petite women. On the other hand, the fully-articulated head makes getting around and under things simple and easy if you can handle the weight of the machine. 9.5/10 - would buy again, so long as it lasts long enough to justify the price.
