Dr. Rynearson was a mentor to many who were seeking to learn and enjoy this often neglected area of fine art. Many books in this subject matter are quite dry and often lacking in emphasis on the artistic perspective of collecting these coins. This book brings to life a subject matter through words and pictures that can be enjoyed by those who see both the beauty of the art as well as the history of ancient Greece.
