Review: Game Changer for My Electric Smoker - I bought this Smoker Tube after finding out about them online. I was tired of needing to add wood chips every 15 minutes to my Masterbuilt Electric Smoker to maintain ample smoke. With this Smoker Tube, I get continuous smoke for at least 5 hours without doing anything to it once I light it. There are many ways to light it, at first I was soaking some pellets in rubbing alcohol, then putting it in the end of the tube and lighting it. That seems to work fine, you just have to make sure it burns for quite a while before you either blow it out or it goes out on it's own. The recommended way is with a DIY type blowtorch. I have even seen guys using a heat gun, but I couldn't find mine so I haven't tried that yet. What was very simple, and seemed to work the best is removing a grate from my gas grill and laying the end of the loaded tube directly on the lit burner. Within a few minutes it was burning great and I just turned off the grill and let it burn until it went out on it's own and it was smoking like crazy! Experiment until you find out what works best for you and you won't be disappointed. A lot of guys use these in their pellet grills to get more smoke.
