I tested cooling in a PC and this heat sink works amazing. Without a heat sink, my 1TB Western Digital SN 850 neared 70C. (41 vs 50C) For me that was acceptable. However on my second SSD slot, I'm currently running an Samsung SSD 970 EVO 1tb NVMe and it's been running around 35 to 39C. Will within specs.
