**Q: Does it need to use dehydrater before this?**
A: No

**Q: Do you need to set this? i did this then base coat but the colour coats receded at the edges so nails not covered? did i go wrong? gel nails.**
A: Hi, after you have applied the primer you would need to air dry it for about 20 seconds after apply the base coat and dry it under uv/led lamp. It also deppends what base you use, i would advise you to check one of the listing pictures that demonstrates each step
