Review: Great water shoes for a very good price. Worth it! - I have used these shoes on two trips so far: once in Costa Rica and once in the Philippines. Here are my thoughts so far... PRO's: + Very comfortable. + Removable insole (thin) for easy cleaning. + Rubber sole, so you can step on rocks, shells, etc. without pain. This was very helpful especially at rocky beaches. Also, with the rubber sole, there's better grip on wet surfaces. + Somewhat stylish? I think they look better than other water shoes. + Easy to store and carry around. They're pretty light. + Relatively durable. I've used this pair for two trips already: each one lasting at least 5 days. No rips, tears, or fading so far. CON's: - If you get sand in them (most likely), it can be a bit difficult to get all the sand out when the shoes are wet. Review: Looks great but fits large. Order one size smaller than street size. - I ordered these for an upcoming trip to Tulum, Mexico to be used when swimming around the cenotes. I'm a street size 8 and originally ordered the size 8 but when it arrived the length overshot my big toe by at least 3/4 inch. I ordered the size 7 and it fits perfectly. A bit snug but that's how water shoes should fit. When removing the shoe, the inside footbed slipped out but it's supposed to be removeable and can easily be slid back in so not a big deal. I'm a fan of Speedo gear generally (I have swim trunks in a matching blue) and these shoes look great. There's a lot of cheaper options available on desertcart but the negative reviews regarding the quality of those cheaper pairs is what would be expected so I stayed away from them and chose this instead. Hopefully paying a bit more for the Speedo brand and the related level of expected quality will stand the test of time, wear, and its intended purpose. ------ UPDATE (9/26/19): Tried these out at Sac Atun cenote (underground cave) in Mexico and these held up great. **Q: I wear a size 10.5 (u.s.), i noticed that the shoes only come in full sizes.  does anyone know if it is best to go with the size 10. or the size 11.**
A: I just received my pair today. I wear a size 10.5(US), and ordered a size 11 as was suggested. I'm using them for a different purpose, so it won't be a huge deal HOWEVER, they are too big, and I think the size 10 would likely be the better option to choose if you need a size 10.5.I even tried them on with my socks first, and they are still too big. Good quality shoe however, and for the price I'd say you're doing quite well choosing them.

**Q: I'm a girl. i hate the fact that just because i'm a girl that i want pink or purple. i wear a 7.5. wonder if a 7 men's would fit me?**
A: I'm right there with you. I look for black most times, or subtle colors, and they really don't do that for women's wear do they?  The easiest way to find out a woman shoe to man shoe size is to just subtract 1.5 from the woman's size (and generally add a wide to the description).  So a man's 7 is a woman's 8.5w.  Since most shoe stores do not carry men's sizes below 7, this can become a problem for women with smaller feel (I'm a 7.5 myself).  Boys shoes do not translate the same way, since it really depends on the manufacturer, I've tried on my son's size 6 and found them incredibly tight, but  man's 7 fit fine in the same make.  Water shoes stretch, smaller won't hurt, but I would not recommend too small if you plan to hike in them, your toes will not thank you for the constant pressure.  In water it's not as noticeable.  Good luck!

**Q: Size 15? I wear a 15 shoe and sneaker which are both a little loose. Anyone size 15 who wears these in 14?**
A: I wear a 14 and the 14's are very tight.   Doubt they would fit you.

**Q: My husband  is 8 USA what size sould i purchase?**
A: These are basically true to shoe size.   I actually ordered two pairs (10 & 11).  My shoe size is 10, and that also is the better fit for these water shoes.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ First, Second, and Final Impressions

Usually wear a size 7 1/2 shoe and have a somewhat wide foot. Because Speedo brands tend to run smaller than their advertised size, I ordered a size 8. The ankle fits appropriately snug, but the challenge is the length. The shoe almost (almost) feels like one is wearing diving fins. But they appear durable and well-made. I will update as one wears them throughout the coming summer months. Not that it matters, but the color "navy/blue" is a bit lighter than shown on the computer screen (if you're a stickler for that sort of thing). UPDATE: June 29, 2017: Wore the shoes for the first time. Was at Hampton Beach, New Hampshire during a pouring rain and thunder & lightening storm. Stayed off the beach, but walked on the boardwalk where there are food vendors, arcade amusements, gift shops, etc. The shoes did a good job of sloshing through the huge puddles on the pavement, but to my disappointment, there is NO ARCH SUPPORT. The shoes are flat on the inside. Thus, if you have fallen arches or flat feet, this product may feel uncomfortable for you. FINAL UPDATE: August 1, 2017: Finally got to the beach. It is difficult to walk on dry sand with them. In that respect, they are similar to wearing street shoes on dry sand. And sand does get inside them. In terms of drying, it takes longer than airing them out overnight for them dry completely. Closer to a full day before the Surfwalker becomes completely dry again. BOTTOM LINE: A solidly made, good product. Though the design has its flaws (please see above) they are worth one's hard-earned money. Final Grade: B.
