I came across this Timo Corbett I waterproof speaker, coz website shows they can be used in the ocean and pool, and reasonably priced, so I decided to give it a try. I am so happy with my decisions because this speaker impressed me on so many levels.When I opened up the shipping box, the speaker was nicely packed in a premium dark black box that held by MAGNETs. Then I took the unit out, found the nice polished carabiner is actually part of the speaker, feels so sturdy, not like those who just throw in a carabiner as a separate piece and flops like a flag when use.It is time to play! the hatch on the back is very tight, I guess it is necessary to keep it watertight. The shut off power switch needs to be turned on first, which took me a few second to figure out. Then press and hold power button on top turns on the unit, see the blue lights blinking. Apparently Timo updated the software to get rid of “obnoxious” human notification vocal sound that people has been complaining about, now it is just LED, blue for bluetooth (coincidence ?), green for SD card.Connected with bluetooth on my phone, it shows up as “TimoLabs Corbett I”, no surprises there. The first song I played was “Hello” by Adele. OMG!! it sounds so good so powerful. When turns the volume up, you can feel the music fills up the room. The bass is shaking and vocal is penetrating. The sound has no distortion even at maximum volume And I am so happy.It is so portable, now I use it while in shower, pair with my computer as a desktop speaker, it almost replaced my car audio, I put it on my car dash board, looking GOOD !It is not beach season yet, but I will definitely take it to the beach and enjoy my music out there. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Bigger than my Bose Soundlink and it doesn't sound nowhere near as good.
