After removing the covering it is very easy loosen the bolt, then I slap the strut with the palm of my hand to knock it apart. You can start anywhere you wish but I start at the top and work down. **Q: What do people do for a door/entryway?** A: I usually allow one triangle to be open. Also, in their instructions they provide options for different configurations. I love the product.
