A little goes a long way too. I took and chopped the block up into smaller cubes and put it in my own container with a gallon of warm water to dissolve and voila! Great liquid laundry detergent. It doesn't really have a "scent", just clean soap. I'm sure if you preferred a smell you could easily add a couple drops of your own essential oils to the mix, although be careful doing so as essential oils are often too potent to store in any plastic containers. The only thing I didn't like was that the print on the included label easily rubbed off.
