Or just extra protection pants?** A: Definitely only extra protection. Although there is a waterproof layer there is limited absorbancy. **Q: Do these crinkle when worn?** A: No they do not crinkle when worn, they are just as soft and comfortable to wear as other cotton knickers but they are excellent at retaining a small amount of fluid, for heavier periods we have bought period pants, but these are great for lighter days and when you are not sure when the next period is due. Hope this help. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ perfect period pants for teenagers *by K*** on 8 May 2025* Brought these for my teenage daughter who did not want to wear pads, I have nothing bad to say about them; they are leakproof and last her a whole day at school( and appear to be very absorbable as not only is there no leakage, they also do not give off any smell which is great. They are easy to wash, I hand wash them first then pop them on a low heat spin in the machine, they have remained intact and still working well, with plenty of life left in them. My daughter said that she finds these comfortable throughout the day and that they make her feel confident when at school if it is that time of the month, they are a little expensive, feel they could be cheaper however it was money well spent, as they are great. Would definitely recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for teens starting their periods *by C***L on 23 April 2025* My average size 13 year old has the age 12-14 size and they fit perfectly (height 62.5’ and wears adult size small, size 8 or age 14 clothes normally). These have been great for making her feel less anxious at school or at clubs whilst navigating periods, late periods, etc. She wears these every day regardless of the time of month and finds them comfortable. We have had 2 periods start unexpectedly and heavier than expected, however these managed to contain it well in the time it took her to realise, so no embarrassing moments. Pads fit well on them. Thickness of material is good (not too thin or too thick). Only partial downside is that there are 2 lines from the stitching that you can see at the back if you wear thinner leggings; I notice it but my daughter couldn’t care less. Also, after prolonged use, the centre starts to fade and they start to shrink a bit, which for me just means it’s time to get some more, but it takes a while, and as I say, she wears these every single day so it’s not a negative, but just to note it happens eventually and they will need to be replaced.
