It's thick, durable, and withstands all the stomping and wear a home plate typically takes. It's heavy enough to stay in place during practice, but still light enough to easily toss in my trunk or cart. I use it whenever we have an open field for practice or as a reference for pitchers during bullpen sessions. It rains often here in Hawaii, and I've had no issues with this plate.
