This is a steak cookers grill. Sears perfectly. excellent temperature control. This grill is very sturdy. I have owned a lot of grills that cost as much as double this one and they have not come close in comparison. Is it perfect, no. Is it good, yes. A important thing to do is when you first light this grill is to light it on low and over a 2 hour period slowly raise the temperature. This allows the metal to expand and slowly heat treat the grill. Shut it off and let it cool. Then fire away. I am a amateur grill master and have cooked for as many as 40 people at a time.
