The interior sides of the holes were burred and would prevent the rivet from setting solidly into the post wall unless I could deburr the interiors. This tool did the job--required a fair amount of elbow grease to rotate the handle back & forth while applying outward pressure in each hole, scraping the burrs away, but got 'er done! I did have to supplement a couple areas with a small rat-tail file but highly recommend this tool.Surprisingly, there are a couple of 1-star reviews that complain about the lack of a tool to change the cutting blade--either these reviewers didn't bother to read the included instruction sheet, or perhaps the instruction sheet wasn't included (not likely).
