I purchased this to replace the OEM that fell off of my daughter's car. It is two pieces, and you just unscrew the bottom and don't use it. I only used the plastic top. I painted and clear coated it before installation. So on the base that was still on the car, the rubber gasket had to be trimmed quite a bit actually. I used a razor, carefully, and trimmed and test fit. Once it was good, I used a Gorilla glue epoxy and some green painter's tape to secure it. No problems so far. Review: Great fit for 2015 Kia forte! - Okay so I should start off by saying that this is a good part replacement for a missing shark fin but ONLY the shark fin, not the antenna underneath. This part came with a bottom and some screws but you would need to take it to a shop to install them since the roof of the vehicle needs to be opened to install it. For my purposes, I just needed to stick the fin on top of my antenna. Also, this part came with no adhesive or glue of any kind, so I bought some 3M double sided molding tape at Walmart for $5 and stuck the sucker on top. Been through the car wash and it still hasn't moved (Wished the pollen would though).
