The features for the money are incredible. I love the shadow line. That is so much more accurate than a laser and easier to see. It's the exact spot where the blade is going to drop down!!! It is really improved my productivity. The hold-down clamp is something you will not find on a saw at this price!!! Just drop it down onto the wood, and then clamp it. It's a quick and easy and an extremely secure safety measure. I used it today when I had a kickback situation arising. I was able to stop the process and used the clamp to complete the cut, safely. I'm building a cabinet for this saw and my new Skil table saw. It's not complete yet but I had to stop working on it because I had orders coming in LOL. So I set up these saws temporarily even though the cabinet is not complete. The 10" size is perfect (for me) because it is a slider and you can still cut 12 in stock. This handles a 4x4 with ease. This particular saw is a dual bevel saw, which means the saw head can tilt both left and right, making bevel cuts from top left to bottom right, or from top right to bottom left. So visualize a flat board, whereby the saw comes down perpendicular to the board but angled left or right. A miter cut is established by turning the handle you see in front either left or right which changes the angle of the entire saw head in relation to the board to be cut. Visualize the flat board again. A miter cuts through the board diagonally but with the saw blade at a straight angle with the board. The fact that this saw can make a miter cut while making a bevel cut at the same time, makes it a "compound" miter saw -- two types of cuts in one cut. For completeness, the saw is also a "sliding" miter saw. This means that, instead of merely cutting in a top down motion, you can pull the saw head toward you and then let it slide back in the extended groove as it is cutting. The depth both left and right is 16.5". Each foot has a hole in it to bolt/screw it down. Measuring from the center of those holes it's 20.5" wide and 13" deep. Skill has earned by trust. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good feature set and quality at a very reasonable price *by C***W on October 22, 2025* Purchased to replace an old Delta miter saw that had provided years of good service. The MS-6305-00 is a very nice saw. The dual-bevel sliding functionality is a big improvement over the old Delta. The built-in light and blade position indicators are very helpful and useful. So far there are a couple of downsides. One is that the adjustment screw that limits the forward and back travel tends to move under vibration and needs to be readjusted frequently (need to figure out a fix for that - maybe some non-permanent thread locker or a locking nut). The other is regarding the very useful material clamp that is included and works well - was hoping to buy another one for the other side of the saw but they are apparently no longer available. Given the feature set, the Skil MS6305-00 is a bargain and an excellent value vs. other miter saws with similar feature sets.
