They would probably be unsafe in anything but a transparent housing, but are definitely bright enough in my OEM 2005 Pontiac GTO's tail lamp housing. I have bought these on multiple occasions and quality is above average (which is not saying much in the chrome bulb category), but the latest pair has a bulb out after 13 months of use which is not acceptable wear had I not bought 3 or 4 pairs of these in the past with multiple years of use on average.I will not be purchasing again however, as LED bulbs accomplish the same aesthetic task with 90%-99% of the look (no egg yolk) and are brighter than stock. You probably do have to buy an alternative flasher unit to avoid hyper flash with LEDs, but it's not much more expensive. One thing you don't think about is the illumination speed of this style bulb vs. LED. Besides being dimmer, halogen bulbs take a split second longer to illuminate vs. immediate for LEDs, which can make a difference from a safety perspective. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice bulb, clean look for sure *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2019* First off, these chrome/amber(output)bulbs should only be used in a clear lens housing. I just put them in my BMW 330ci, single post, offset pin matches to the 7507 fitment of the originals. Straight pin could work but to would have to mess with them to get them in, like some have mentioned early. Order the offset pins and do it right. Light output is less than the standard/stock amber 7507 bulb so don't expect them to be brighter. I love the look of them behind the clear lens, so I just ordered another set for the rear blinkers. And I say that in a good way. I put these in my E46 and they blend in well with the housing no bright orange reflecting.
