Keeps air flowing under butt, and thus cooling and helps with bumps.But there is no air-flow one-way valve, so it empties a lot of pressure when the pump is removed. And there is no lock to hold the pump in place, so it is very hard to hold the cover, hold the pump tight, and pump it at the same time.
