Everything cleans up so easily and we do not see any of the multitude of issues reported by other reviewers. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy and well made *by L***A on August 17, 2016* I've been eyeing a small-ish pan to bake flat cakes in and this fits the bill. It's a nice universal (or close enough) size that accommodates a lot of recipes. So far I've used this item, both the pan and the silicone mat, to make Texas sheet cake, brownies, lamingtons, and Danish butter cookies (my cookie sheet ran out of space). The lamingtons were an Australian recipe; it was a few centimeters off but it worked out fine. I only grease the edges when I bake something that takes the entire pan. I run my knife or spatula between the cake and the pan to loosen it. It comes out completely -- mat and all. It's a great duo, I'm glad they come together and it's all a reasonable price. I originally planned to make Milk Bar's cakes with this pan. They make it in a quarter sheet pan like this and cut out 6" rounds. I haven't done this yet but if you are, I think this pan would be good. The edges cook faster than the center, but it's a solid 1-2" from the perimeter and the entire center of the cake is flat (great for stacking, minimal cutting to straighten the top). I think it's because it's a relatively thick metal and it conducts heat well and browning doesn't seem to be negatively affected by the silicone mat. In fact, I prefer baking on the mat than on parchment paper or aluminum foil. The butter cookies I made on the mat had a light golden brown on the bottom, and the ones of parchment were a lot darker. All in all, I really like this pan. I'm an avid baker but I'm also very frugal so I don't buy equipment very often.
