I have used a flaring tool exactly twice now and I will be surprised if I use it more than two more times in my lifetime. It’s very infrequent so I didn’t mind getting a cheaper tool. The reason I bought it instead of bumming one off of someone I know is because the cutter still works on copper water lines too so I’m sure to find more use out of it.The reason I got this is I did my own mini split install in my shop. The line set it came with was 15’ and I only needed about 6’. So I cut the two lines and flared them with this tool. The thing I thought was awesome was the attachment I’m holding in the picturing. If you are too aggressive with your cutter you can accidentally fold in the edge of the line making it hard to do a clean flare. This is used first to spread the opening back out to normal diameter so when you use the actual flaring end it will come out smooth and seat nicely on its mating surface. It’s a compact lit that does something like 1/8” - 5/8” lines and it worked out perfectly for my needs and if you just wanna have your own and know you’ll only use it a handful of times then I’d definitely recommend trying this set out. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Valorización del producto *by on Reviewed in the United States April 21, 2026* Excelente producto ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You need to practice using it on something to get the hang of it *by on Reviewed in the United States February 21, 2026* One night, one night, not too long ago gas line was leaking and I had to use the tool in the dark with a flashlight.
