With a 4 oz to 6 oz capacity, it’s ideal for controlled ice portioning during service, especially where speed and consistency matter. Constructed from clear polycarbonate, this ice scooper resists breakage and stands up to repeated use, wash cycles, and cold storage conditions. The angled ergonomic handle improves balance and comfort, while helping reduce wrist strain during repeated scooping. Two built-in guard fins limit hand contact with ice during use, promoting a cleaner and more streamlined workflow. Its smart, tapered design ensures ice slides easily into glasses or containers with minimal spillage. The included thumb rest and push plate are removable, making it quick to clean and reset between uses. The SI4550 works well across different stations, whether used as an ice scoop for freezer bins or part of a dedicated bar ice scoop system. Efficient, compact, and easy to use, this scoop is a reliable tool for any operation that handles bulk ice daily. Review: Perfect Little Ice Scoop for the Fridge - I was a little worried this scoop would be too small -- 4–6 oz just sounds tiny. At the same time, the measurements made it seem really long. In the end I decided to just order it, and I’m glad I did! It’s the perfect size for my fridge’s ice bin. Each scoop holds about 4–6 crescent-shaped cubes, which is exactly what I needed. One feature I really like is the small protruding clip that lets the scoop rest upright on the side of the bin. Plus, the shield under the handle keeps hands from touching the ice, which feels much more hygienic. If you’re looking for a simple, well-designed ice scoop, this is the one to get. Review: Great for bottom freezer ice cubes - Our fridge has two ice makers. The one in the bottom freezer has an ice pan that means you either grab ice by hand or with a scoop. We had a metal scoop but it started showing hints of rust despite being stainless steel. So we got the new scoop and really like it. ## Features - Balanced and Lightweight Design – Engineered from durable clear polycarbonate, this plastic ice scoop 4 oz to 6 oz provides excellent handling for drink stations, beverage counters, and ice buckets. - Angled Handle for Grip and Balance – The angled shape supports wrist alignment and balance, making this plastic ice scoop for freezer bin ideal for quick and repeated use during busy service. - Tapered Scoop for Quick Serving – With a funnel-like taper, this scoop minimizes spills and scoops ice quickly into glasses or containers—works well as ice scoops for bar use. - Guards Minimize Ice Contact – Dual guard tabs on both sides help limit direct hand contact, making this ice cube scoop for freezer bin a good fit for efficient setups and fast-paced service. - Removable Plate for Easy Washing – The built-in thumb rest and removable push plate simplify handling and maintenance, keeping the ice scooper ready for repeat use in commercial spaces. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00LU3TUDO | | Best Sellers Rank | #16,831 in Industrial & Scientific ( See Top 100 in Industrial & Scientific ) #31 in Commercial Food Scoops | | Brand | San Jamar | | Brand Name | San Jamar | | Capacity | 6 ounces | | Color | Clear | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 818 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00759376185933 | | Item Dimensions L x W | 13.25"L x 6"W | | Item Type Name | Count | | Item Weight | 3.2 ounces | | Manufacturer | San Jamar | | Manufacturer Part Number | SI4550 | | Material | Polycarbonate (PC) | | Material Type | Polycarbonate (PC) | | Model Number | SI4550 | | Product Dimensions | 13.25"L x 6"W | | UPC | 759376185933 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** San Jamar - **Color:** Clear - **Item Weight:** 3.2 ounces - **Material:** Polycarbonate (PC) - **Product Dimensions:** 13.25"L x 6"W ## Images ![Ice Scoop, San Jamar Saf-T-Scoop, 4 oz to 6 oz, Scoop Only - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/7118Ie4HmNL.jpg) ![Ice Scoop, San Jamar Saf-T-Scoop, 4 oz to 6 oz, Scoop Only - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/510EsqyXBOL.jpg) ![Ice Scoop, San Jamar Saf-T-Scoop, 4 oz to 6 oz, Scoop Only - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81nEKDIcmkL.jpg) ![Ice Scoop, San Jamar Saf-T-Scoop, 4 oz to 6 oz, Scoop Only - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81HoeR-TwhL.jpg) ![Ice Scoop, San Jamar Saf-T-Scoop, 4 oz to 6 oz, Scoop Only - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/717N8qdkTaL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does this have holes on bottom of scoop, want to use for popcorn and want unpopped kernels to go thru?** A: That is such a smart idea, so I jumped up to measure the holes, lol. Yes, there are 12 holes and are exactly 5/16" in diameter. I, unfortunately, do not have any corn kernels to measure here at home. I tried to Google it, but the answers are too diverse. **Q: Is this dishwasher safe on the top rack?** A: Yes it is **Q: Can you leave this scoop in the freezer in the ice?** A: Yes you absolutely can leave it in the freezer. I love this scoop.
