have had it running continuously  for 4 months with no issues.  Unit is quiet.  Set 8" stone with 25 feet of hose and about 4 feet deep on a milk crate in a 1/4 acre pond.  Used low cost  harbor freight solid rubber air hose.  Made a sun shade to protect unit from hot Florida summers.
