Frenchic Furniture Paint - Al Fresco Inside/Outside Range in Cool Beans is a premium water-based mineral paint designed for both indoor and outdoor use. It offers a durable, matte, almost flat finish with self-priming, self-sealing, and self-levelling properties, ensuring minimal brush marks and excellent coverage. Eco-friendly and low in VOCs, it is certified safe for children’s toys and suitable for multiple surfaces including wood, metal, laminate, and UPVC. Its UV resistance and waterproof qualities make it ideal for refreshing kitchens, bathrooms, garden furniture, and more with a stylish, calming taupe tone.

## Description

General:- Water based- Suitable for interior and exterior use- Chalk and mineral paint formulated for wooden furniture. Also suitable for laminate, powder coated radiators, UPVC, ceramic wall tiles (we recommend avoiding very wet areas like shower/bath surrounds). Can be used for internal walls – in this case, thinning with up to 10% tap water is advised to ease application.- Also suitable for interior wood, concrete and most laminate floors with correct application – please note that maintenance may be required in these situations.- Minimal VOC content with virtually no odour- UKCA and EN71-3 certified (safe for use on children’s toys) EN71-3:2013+A3:2019- Self-priming – no primer or undercoat required- Finish – flat, almost no sheen - Self-sealing - does not require a top coat for durability- Self-levelling - meaning little to no brush marks is achievable.Coverage:- A 750ml tin will provide a single coat of up to 12.5m2. For a durable finish, a minimum of 2 coats is required, so your 750ml tin should provide full coverage for just over 6m2 on non-porous surfaces like laminate or metal.- Porous, or ‘thirsty’ surfaces like bare wood or MDF, tend to absorb paint meaning additional coats are likely to be required to achieve a durable finish. In this case, your 750ml tin will provide less than 6m2 of full coverage. If you apply the paint too thinly, durability may be affected.

Dries nice and matt flat. It's one of the easiest paints I have ever used. I did put two coats on mid oak coloured spindles and door but that's was just my preference and both look fantastic. I also purchased the Tuff Stuff top coat just for extra protection especially on the hand rail which was just as easy to use. I purchased the colour Smudge which is a rich charcoal grey. Love love love the end results. Happy customer.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this cover upvc?**
A: Yes this will cover EVERYTHING, a light sand can be done, but you don’t need to, it just lasts a lot longer if you do.  The Al Fresco range of colours can be used inside and outdoors.  I’m pretty much using them on everything in my house and it’s the best chalk paint ever.  You can apply with a brush or roller and most uneven surfaces it sort of self levels so you get a glassy finish.  I also used this in my caravan as it doesn’t mould.  I really can’t recommend this paint more highly, you could by a cheaper brand, but it would look awful and you’d end up re doing it with the frenchic, so spend a couple of extra pennies and do it right the first time.  Definitely join the frenchic fan forum on Facebook it’s brilliant. If painting upvc and anything really, thin coats, the first two will look awful and you’ll question your sanity, but it all comes good and looks amazing

**Q: Can you use alfresco paint on masonary**
A: Never tried on masonry, only on kitchen cupboards which is amazing, there are good masonry paints available tho out there

**Q: Would there be any issue with delivery to Northern Ireland as have been experiencing with some sellers**
A: I wouldn’t have thought so,but I’m not 100% sure.

**Q: Can i use the cream frenchie paint on a fire place?**
A: Yes I've used lots of these paints all over the house ,I've used it in the grey ( different shades ) it paints well all surfaces with one coat the cream had to have 3 coats but looked great

This is the first time I have used this paint but I wouldn't be the last. It's lovely to use and is highly pigmented. Dries nice and matt flat. It's one of the easiest paints I have ever used. I did put two coats on mid oak coloured spindles and door but that's was just my preference and both look fantastic.
