Possibly in term of the pure raw material cost but someone also had to come up with the idea, make a load of prototypes and get actual production up and running. It is supplied with poles which you screw in yourself. Assuming you get the right size you can easily add longer poles. **Q: Does this pick up small leaves like willow leaves wet or dry easily from pateo and driveway** A: Willow leaves tend to be quite thin and small - by clumping them together then looking to collect them from the ground, the Clear N Collect should be able to cater adequately for them. Do note though that as Willow leaves are quite fine compared to others, you will get some which will get through the teeth of the scoop here - which is similar to what you'd find with a classic rake anyway. As we suggest, clumping the leaves together will provide a better method. **Q: Is it any robust on wet leaves as they can weigh heavy** A: Hi. The rake has a stainless steel hinge pin and is constructed from tough polypropylene. Works well on wet leaves; for heavier loads you willing it easier to hold the handles closer to the clams whilst performing the lift. Picks up tons of leaves with ease. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is you have to screw the pole in (after you put the wooden poles in the plastic base to secure it), and I found this too hard to screw securely as need brute force I think, and so it’s not screwed in well so the poles move when I’m trying to lift to eject the leaves in my green bin. I will have to get a strong man to rescrew them in as very annoying as keeps twisting mid job πŸ™ˆ apart from that I’m very pleased and glad I brought it.
