My mouth is small and the appliance is large so when I'd fall asleep my lips would relax and fall open creating snoring sounds and dry mouth. My doctor suggested mouth taping. Yikes, I'm very claustrophobic and this sounded scary. I also have very sensitive skin. I purchased this tape because of the other reviews stating how non irritating it was. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, trying various lengths and positions. What works best for me is 5 sections ( the tape is perforated every 1/4 inch) and I snip a little hole in the center because you're not supposed to completely seal your mouth for safety reasons. I have not experienced any skin irritation. This tape is very soft and stays in place all night.
