It works as a necklace extender that also looks nice. These can be used singly or in pairs. An added benefit is that it helps keep the necklace clasp from creeping around the front. The metal is smooth and the hooks don't snag my hair or clothes. The construction is sturdy - it would take a lot of force to bend it. When using two, also makes fastening it behind your neck a breeze. Once you get used to it, you can even unhook it without looking. I wish the silver was sold by itself, because that's the only one I needed. They are packaged beautifully and would make nice gifts.
