Review: Great travel mug - This travel mug is well made and when you close it, it is leak proof. Just don’t over tighten or fill it. It keeps coffee hot for several hours. I bought this model because it had a handle. The size is just right, not too big and not too small so you don’t have to keep running back to the coffee pot for more coffee. It fits in all cupholders so that’s a plus. It does not have a straw, but I’ve never drank coffee through a straw…. It’s a really nice rich color. The finish has a deep hue and a high quality feel. At 14 oz, this is a perfect size for commuting or traveling. I had some concern about how long this one would keep coffee hot because I’m a sipper and a cup can last me for three hours or more. I rarely finish a cup that is actually warm unless it is left on a warmer. I prefer a handle when and the open end of the handle makes it eqsy to hang the cup on something if my hands are full The cap is designed really well, and when closed the cup can’t leak even when the coffee is hot. It appears that hot coffee will exert extra pressure on the inside causing the inner seal ro press more tightly. That’s a nice feature. The cap opens with a lever that makes it easy to open or close the lid withjout using two hands. Also you can drink coffee from either side of the mug, i.e., left or right handed. Actually, I was wondering if the lever would bump against my nose, but it is designed to be off to the side when open. With the lid is in the open, it let’s a reasonable amount of coffee through, but with any care at all, you won’t be likely to burn yourself because it's easy to regulate the amount coming into the “sipping tray” part of the lid. So the first test: I made coffee at 1 PM and an hour later, the coffee was still remarkably hot. Rather than test the long-term holding power, I decided to leave the lid open to see how quickly tmy coffee would cool. What a surprise: I finished the coffee at 6 pm and it was still a very pleasant drinking temperature. Five hours is better than my Ember cup by far! Finally, when I came home s disassembled the lid to wash it and it was very easy and intuitive. Honestly, for the money, I’d say it is the best hot cup I've purchased, and I’ve gone through quite a few. Definitely would recommend it.

**Q: Does it contain Phthalates?**
A: I don't know for sure but I know it's made out of stainless steel and I don't see any plastic or anything poison in it I do know that my wife enjoys it very much and she enjoys using it

**Q: dishwasher safe? Description says to hand wash and also says dishwasher safe. Which is it?**
A: I am very happy with my Thermos cup for hot beverages. I never put the mug in the dishwasher but take the cover apart to wash it by hand at least once a week. I think the cover could be put into the upper part of the dishwasher but I don’t think it is necessary.

**Q: If my cat pushes it off the table with lid locked, will it spill?**
A: It will not spill, as long as you have the lid in the closed position.

**Q: Can you use a straw with it?**
A: No it’s a slit not a hole. Keeps coffee hot 8-9 hrs. It’s outstanding

This travel mug is well made and when you close it, it is leak proof. Just don’t over tighten or fill it. It keeps coffee hot for several hours. I bought this model because it had a handle. The size is just right, not too big and not too small so you don’t have to keep running back to the coffee pot for more coffee. It fits in all cupholders so that’s a plus. It does not have a straw, but I’ve never drank coffee through a straw…. I remember my dad and my grandpa going to work back in the 60s and they always carried their thermos with them. Yes I’m that old.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This silver one is great and the red one terrible

The silver one is great no leak, stays cold and is for a blind person but I bought two and the red one is leaking and I took it apart and can't find why when closed it leaks everywhere and the blind person can not use it. I got the silver one for water and the red one for coffee I like the water one as it will stay cold for hours when I have to be gone.
