This man made material is impervious to the elements and it is the strongest handle for a knife intended for use at sea. The black G10 is an excellent base for the sailor’s own scrimshaw using white India ink. This knife thoughtfully links heritage with the most modern components. The black handle is the model most often chosen by professional navy, sailors, and commercial seamen. The Pro-grade German Marine stainless that we use is comparable to 440C for hardness and edge-holding properties with additional anti-oxidation elements added for the final crafting of our knives. Extreme strength and moderate weight. This modern upgrade features thicker steel, lighter overall weight, improved shackle slot and lanyard attachment. The Classic Sheepsfoot blade design is a modern version of the classic knives used by seamen for centuries. It includes our heavy leather sheath, knife, and Myerchin Marlinspike. This knife features a Standard Blade. Warranty: Limited Lifetime (Original Owner). See our Warranty Page for full warranty information. This knife features a Standard Blade. Serial Number: Yes ## Features - Wow, what a pleasant surprise. The knife, spike and sheath work great. The knife is sharp out of the box and the marlinspike is just right, not too sharp tipped, as many are from various other makers / vendors. This kit was immediately useful and now lives on my sailboat. Planning on purchasing another for on shore use. - The knife is a solid five star knife. It replaced my version I received in the US Navy back in 1998 that fell into Lake Michigan this summer. I liked the Gen 2 scales (the handle)being made of Micarta as opposed to G10 as I find Micarta is not as slippery when hands are sweaty or wet. The leather sheath is an improvement over the Nylon/Velcro sheath my original came with but the marlin spike holder seems flimsy to me, but then, I was purchasing a knife, not a sheath. - I have been on the water professionally for over 29 years, 10 with the Navy, 13 with the Coast Guard, and 6 with the Merchant Marines and my original knife performed like a champ. It is funny that I would be on a sail boat for relaxation when I lose the knife overboard. - 🐳 Bonus Leather Lanyard Strap 🐳 Generation 2 B100 Offshore System Black G10 is an excellent base for the sailor's own scrimshaw using white India ink ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Age Range Description | Adult | | Asin | B07J1W7HXY | | Best Sellers Rank | #551,586 in Sports & Outdoors (See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors) #1,046 in Camping Fixed-Blade Knives | | Blade Edge | Standard | | Blade Material | Stainless Steel | | Blade Shape | Sheepsfoot | | Blade Type | Sheepsfoot | | Brand Name | Myerchin | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars (3) 5.0 out of 5 stars | | Hand Orientation | Ambidextrous | | Handle Material | Fiberglass | | Included Components | Knife | | Item Length | 8.5 inches | | Item Shape | Rectangular | | Manufacturer | MYERCHIN KNIVES | | Model Name | Pro G10 Offshore System Knife | | Model Number | B100 | | Number Of Items | 1 | | Product Care Instructions | Hand Wash Only | | Recommended Uses For Product | Sailing, Yachting, Boating, Bushcrafting, Camping | | Reusability | Reusable | | Size | 8.5 inches | | Special Features | Marlinspike Full Tang | | Style | Modern | | Theme | Nautical | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Upc | 703694914171 | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Adult - **Blade Material:** Stainless Steel - **Brand:** Myerchin - **Color:** Black - **Handle Material:** Fiberglass - **Included Components:** Knife - **Model Name:** Pro G10 Offshore System Knife - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Sailing, Yachting, Boating, Bushcrafting, Camping - **Special Feature:** Marlinspike Full Tang - **Style:** Modern ## Images ![Myerchin B100 Offshore System Rigging Knife, Marlinspike Sheath & Lanyard - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/716GP0GHT-L.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Offshore Knife *by on Reviewed in the United States November 28, 2019* The knife is a solid five star knife.
