It's a great product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good hydrolyzed dog food 4.4 stars *by B***L on April 23, 2023* I tried a few prescription hydrolyzed dog foods before trying this one. I have a Labrador. My last Labrador lived in z/d due to her chronic ear infections. My new Lab seems to have stomach issues and doesn’t tolerate non-hydrolyzed diets. Compared to z/d (pea and chicken), royal canin (soy based), and Purina EL (soy based)… I give this food 4.4 stars because it’s the ONLY dog food where the FIRST INGREDIENT is a hydrolyzed MEAT. I felt awful giving my dog soy based food - dogs need meat in my opinion. For a nonprescription dog food - THIS IS AMAZING! She doesn’t have stomach issues on this one. I wish it would make her excrement a bit more firm but she holds it well for her afternoon walk and never goes in her crate overnight like she does on non-hydrolyzed diets. Clean up with this one is less fun than with the soy based foods (those constipate her more). Perhaps my dog doesn’t tolerate meat well? If you don’t have a vet RX and you need a hydrolyzed dog food - definitely give this one a try! It’s priced well and I’d rather give a small company a try and hope they have better quality control than the large dog companies which realize all too late (a year later) that they have unsafe doses of d3 in dog food.
