Review: Fun for grownups and kids! - I wasn’t sure based on the other reviews, but this looked cool enough to try, and I’m so glad I did. My 4.5yo loves building, but this takes our magnetic tile building to a new level. He’s problem solving, creating, and incorporating his regular tiles into his constructions. My kiddo is able to line up the tracks easily and rarely had any issue with them moving on a hardwood floor. His 6yo and 8yo siblings play with him with this toy, and his mom has maybe the most fun out of anyone planning out new track designs. Pros: - There are enough elevating pieces to make some cool leveled tracks - The cars take one AA battery, light up, and work well on the tracks- even going up hill - Sparks lots of problem-solving and creativity - A good amount of track - So much fun for mixed ages Cons: - One car is clearly much faster and more capable than the other (with same battery type) This means if we make a big hill, the blue car sometimes needs a little extra push (nobody is bothered by this. The pink car works perfectly) - Need more straight tracks for track variety Conclusion: this was a terrific Christmas gift and had given us so much joy. Would buy again.

**Q: Where can i just buy the columns? I can't seem to find this.**
A: If you find the answer to this I would love to know! My kids love this track and the extra ramps but now are limited by the columns/pillar supports

**Q: Do the piacasso car trucks with flat beds run on this set**
A: It would fit on the track, but does slip off easily since you would have to push it manually. The battery powered cars that come with the race track set work great. My grandson has both the race track set and the building tile set and though they are similar, he plays with them separately. They are both great sets. Hope this answers your question.

**Q: Do you need the risers? Will the magnet work with just the regular tiles?**
A: The magnets in these will connect to the magnets in the regular tiles, but to make a sturdy track, you are probably going to want some risers. This set is only ramp shaped pieces, so it's best as an add-on to a bigger race track set. We have regular tiles and a full race track set...my kids definitely combine them when playing, but the ramps-with no other race track pieces-wouldn't be very fun.

What a successful gift . the never ending possibilities to build. My son is obsessed with cars and the 2 little cars that come with this track are perfect. The magnets on these are great .. the pieces hold together well. He has such a fun time and can play for HOURS . The bright colors make it so that no pieces go missing.
