Most high end brand sediment filters are made in China, including Culligan and Pentek. **Q: What is the Cartridge life? 3 months 15,000 gallons? 4 months 16,000?** A: The frequency of replacement can vary due to water quality and usage, however, we recommend that in general SP-S1 should be replaced every 3 months. **Q: how many gpm?** A: We do not list a flow rate on our sediment cartridge filters, as it is not possible to give an accurate number for a flow rate. When a company lists the flow rate of their sediment cartridges it is actually only an estimate that is based upon β€œclean” cartridge performance. In other words, it is based upon a cartridge that has not filtered any contaminants. This is because everyone will have different types and amounts of contaminants in their own water that is impossible to predict and test in a lab environment. As a cartridge traps sediment particles, the flow rate will begin to decrease.
