But, I summoned a little openness and there's been nothing but blue skies since. In using it I recalled that my main issue the very first time around was that the product didn't play well with other products. It made everything bead up and made a mess in my hair. This time I used it with nothing but a light leave-in. If you're interested the leave-in was Kinky Curly's Knot today. You don't need anything else with it. It has a bit of hold and it's moisture rich. Because of that, you don't need to use a gel or something with significant hold. I used it to do a braid out. It was very defined and still soft to the touch. I know that's something some people struggle to find. Though I am used to a moderately full head of medium to long hair, healthwise, my hair is not in the best shape I've seen it in right now. After using this as my only styler and moisturizer on wash day, it's definitely feeling much better to the touch. Leaps and bounds better. Soft and supple but not weighed down, greasy, or sticky.
