Review: Great Trimmer - This trimmer is very lightweight and great for people with arthritis or mobility issues. So far it cuts well when using both blades, though I wouldn't use it to cut anything with thick branches, etc. The battery last a decent amount of time too. It also doesn't take up much room for storing. Would recommend.
Review: So Far So Good - After removing the trimmer from the box, I charged it until the green light came on, which took almost exactly 3 hours. I'm aware that the charger doesn't have an automatic shut-off when the battery is fully charged, so for future charges I'm considering plugging the charger into a light timer, setting it for maybe 4 hours and see if it will fully charge within that amount of time. I can always adjust the timer as needed. So far (with just two uses for a total of about 30 minutes) this trimmer has operated well. I trimmed quite a large clump of what I call "monkey grass" with the grass trimmer blade which was attached when I received it. It had no problems doing this trimming. I've also tried the hedge trimmer attachment, and it works satisfactorily. It's a little slow and cannot accommodate very large limbs, but for small bushes it should do the job nicely. Thus far, the trimmer has acted flawlessly, so I would recommend it to other customers. Its light, easy to use and I like the safety switch design. Update: I recently mowed my lawn and was beginning to trim it with my 15-year-old gas weed eater when it decided to "go south"; it would no longer run. So, in the interest of wanting to complete my trimming job, put on some kneepads, grabbed these grass sheers, and for about 30 minutes crawled along the ground, trimming over 300 linear feet of curb, sidewalk, driveway and flower bed edging. (I don't recommend this to be a normal usage for these sheers by other customers, but in my case, they worked almost as well as a weed eater, and I was just about finished before the yellow recharge light came on). So, this made a total of more than an hour of run time on one charge, since I hadn't recharged it after the usage I described above. This was quite impressive to me. Incidentally, I recently ordered a cordless weed eater from desertcart to replace my old gas one.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Tool for Small Lawn Jobs!
*by R***V on August 8, 2025*

I picked up the Sun Joe cordless grass shears after getting tired of hand-trimming around my flower beds and fence posts. After using it for about two months, here's my honest take. What I Love: The battery provides surprisingly good power for such a compact tool. It easily cuts through thick grass and light weeds that my regular trimmer can't reach. The pivoting head is genius - you can flip between vertical trimming and horizontal hedge work without contorting yourself. Battery life is solid for a homeowner; I can typically finish my entire front and back yard detail work on one charge. The lightweight design means my hands don't cramp up during longer sessions, and it's quiet enough that I can use it early morning without annoying the neighbors. Setup was straightforward, and the included charger works efficiently. The Missing Piece: Here's my one real gripe - no storage bag or case included. For a tool with multiple attachments and a separate battery/charger, this feels like an oversight. I ended up keeping the cardboard box that it came in just to keep everything organized in my garage. At this price point, a simple carrying case would have been a nice touch. Bottom Line: Despite the storage situation, this little trimmer has earned its spot in my regular yard maintenance routine. It handles detail work that larger tools simply can't manage, and the cordless convenience is fantastic. Just plan on finding your own storage solution. Would I buy it again? Yes, as long as something comparable with a bag comes first.
