If you have a radiator cap on your vehicle I know a lot of new vehicles don’t have radiator caps, but if your vehicle does have a radiator cap a lot of times the radiator cap wears out or gets warped and it will definitely signal some of the same signs as needing to put a new thermostat in so it could be your radiator gap but be on the safe side go ahead and change your thermostat and your radiator cap if you want to . This DOES come with an O-Ring gasket ! - Since no one said it straight up... YES, this DOES COME WITH AN O-RING! It's a thicker, flat surface type o-ring/gasket. I got this for my 2000 Lincoln Navigator and the fit was perfect. Since I was nervous about it not coming with an 0-ring, I ordered a 3-pack of RG-571 O-rings for about $9, from desertcart here. Those as well fit perfectly and are a better fit than the one included. But... the one included does work, you just have to squish it down as you tighten your thermostat housing. This part is very well made and installation wasn't bad at all. Pretty easy to get to on the Navigator since it's at the top of the engine, left hand side. This is a fantastic deal for this and it's been keeping my vehicle cool. My Navigator OEM Thermostat is a 195deg, but I decided on the 180 and for me, it's perfect. I'd rather my motor stay cooler.
