It will of course have to be removed when the fireplace is in use. Would definitely recommend 👍 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Timer function limited and odd controller positioning *by J***P on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 December 2023* While the lights are very pretty, the controller is located close to the lights rather than the plug which would be the natural place for it. What this means is that if you want to mount it on a wall for example, the controller is up near it on display. The other thing about the controller is that it only allows the lights to be switched on manually once plugged in, so you can't use your own timer plug for instance since the lights won't come on with the timer alone. The built in timer function is limited to one time period - 6 hours on, 18 hours off - and can only be activated with the remote. So in long British nights, you're limited to either using them manually or accepting the limited automatic on time.
