Review: This is a great value for a well-designed essential baking set! - Update 12/2023 - I have read people commenting on silicone having a "white film" when you go to use items again. I have noticed with the cake pans (that I give a quick spray with oil - like Pam - before baking in) that when I pull them out the next time, they have the white film on the inside and the outside. This seems to be the oil I sprayed them with last time. It seems as though the pores of the silicone open and hold the oils, eventually pressing them out (from both sides, so store them accordingly!). When I go to bake in them, I give them a wipe-down with a paper towel, then scrub them well with an unscented glycerin soap until they are clean (again), then spray with the oil & bake. It seems to be the necessary process for using silicone, so it is fine with me; just the way the material is and reacts. However, the white film mystery is one I consider now resolved. (I can tell it is the oil spray I use because I know its viscosity, and when I run my fingers over that white film, it matches that viscosity. So people worrying about something leaching from the silicone, it is, but it is just the oils the silicone absorbed from your last baking adventure. Give it a good wipe & wash and you're good to go; no safety nor hygiene concerns remaining. I still use this set all the time - and yes, the white film is on all my different colored silicone spatulas, too...so they get a pre-wash, as well. The pans still all work great. Original review - These just arrived and I unpacked and inspected them all. The entire set is found to be intact - set of 5 pans (I didn't even look at the box - it is what is inside that matters, like it is with people and life in general, but I digress...) - and all pans are of a good quality silicone, seem very sturdy and well-made (not flimsy, but made of good quality silicone and enough of it to retain their shape), and make up a really impressive set. The loaf pan that I wanted, to have the double loaf option when baking, is a little smaller than my standard glass loaf pan, measuring 9" long by 4" wide by 2.5" tall; and my glass one is the same except it is 5" wide. That's ok, it just means more vertical loaves from that pan and I'm fine with that to have an extra loaf pan with no concerns about it breaking. All the other pans are great, too. The 6-cup muffin pan looks standard enough to make regular sized blueberry muffins - maybe not the giants they sell at the market, but if you are that hungry for more, eat another one - or whatever flavor you feel like whipping up. The other muffin pan is a bit shallower (cups not as deep) and the bottoms very slightly curved; this would be a great pan for smaller muffins or egg bites. The round and square cake pans are great, a safe alternative to glass, and seem sturdy enough to hold their shape when filled. I always recommend setting them on a cookie sheet before filling any silicone item, as they generally lack the rigidity to be moved into the oven when filled. The spatula and basting brush will be great for removal, frosting, and basting the muffin cups or pans with oil before baking (I haven't baked with them yet, so can't weigh in on the aspect yet, but will update if there are any issues there, though I expect none. They even came with a colorful set of measuring spoons. After a ton of time trying to locate and choose a decent set with the pieces I really needed and wanted (read: would actually use regularly!), I am really glad I decided on and ordered this set! This would also make a great starter set for a new baker, a great housewarming gift for someone who enjoys baking, or a wedding gift for a new couple starting out. An excellent, diverse and good quality essential baking set in well-made sturdy silicone and a great value to boot! Smells and silicone: Silicone can absorb smells, such as from making meatloaf in the loaf pan. Silicone can also absorb soap smells, so I always suggest hand-washing with an unscented soap, such as a glycerine/glycerine-based soap, and avoiding putting them in the dishwasher for this reason. If you do find your silicone items have retained odors, Google how to "eliminate silicone smells bake" and follow the directions to get them freshened up again. DO NOT try this before reading the directions! Also, items you use for this process must be only silicone. Update: I tried baking a cake with a sticky batter in the cake pan *without* the quick oil spray I usually use and while the cake did come out/could be popped out, it left quite a sticky layer on the pan that I did not enjoy cleaning! I find a quick spray of oil, unless I am making something totally non-sticky a la sous vide, is just an all-around good approach to baking. I always do this - baking items come out easily and pans are a breeze to clean with a quick wipeout and wash. There are healthy oil spray options nowadays, and even if you brush on a little oil with a paper towel, it is quick and easy to prevent any possible sticking. I always suggest a quick spray before baking.
Review: Perfect - Nice Good material

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Are the muffins on the 6 cup muffin pan bigger than the 12 cup?**
A: Yes the muffins on the 6 cup pan are bigger than the 12 cup! I was disappointed that they were smaller! I now have to buy another 12 cup pan with regular size muffins!

**Q: What are the dimensions of the largest muffin tin?**
A: Dear customer,

The largest muffin tin size is 22.5 x 30 CM

wish this will help you

sincerely Doosmile

**Q: Are these small enough for a air fryer?**
A: Well thats gonna depend on your fryer in most cases id say no the pans are similar if not the same size as their traditional counterparts

**Q: Can you put meat in. The bread pan?**
A: You can put anything in silicone for cooking, just be sure to put it on a stable pan for putting in and taking out of the oven, so you don't spill or burn yourself.

If your pans accumulate smells, you can bake them by themselves to remove smells. There are helpful videos on YouTube as to how to do this.
