None of the so-called "orthotic" soles do much for me as they simply collapse under weight, providing little arch support. Only the hard plastic ones do the job but some really need to be custom made or will cause pain.This pair seems to have hard plastic coated with a fabric. It has some "bounce", but the arch support remains in effect. It would be perfect if the height of the arch were even larger. It's as if my ankle is aligned or the arch is supported. I don't know what happened but the pain is gone. The inserts are hard and durable which I assume offer more arch support unlike the soft inserts which did nothing. Whatever the reason is I'm ordering more pairs for all my other shoes!!! This product made my day by making my pain go away!
