Bought this to make a bubbler fountain for my deck. I don’t know anything about pumps but figured I’d need a tiny one to keep the water where I wanted it. This does the trick!First I bought a flower pot and plugged the hole in the bottom with some clear silicone (originally I wanted to use a solar pump, otherwise I would have fed the power cord out the bottom and used silicone around it to make it water tight - the plug isn’t so big it wouldn’t fit). Then I inserted three of the extension poles in the pump to get the stream to an okay height, packed some rocks around the whole thing, filled pot with water, done.For reference, my flower pot is 14” tall and has a 9” opening (not counting the wall thickness). You could always use fewer of the extension poles if you have a shorter pot, or cut some tubing to the exact height you want if you need more reach.Neat little pump! Now I just need to fix that corner of my siding. Haha. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Low watt energy saving pump for small uses, works well, advice *by A***Y on May 7, 2014* I wanted a pump for my swimming pool to add a lively yet serene feeling. This fit the bill.Pump has worked now for several weeks and I would buy another of same model if it failed. Package arrived safe and fast. I found setup a breeze once I figured how to connect pipes. I tried each spray head and all worked, though with efforts I never achieved symmetric spray pattern. Sprayer head for horizontal wave made a water dome about 12 inches wide, and sprayer fixture for vertical jet shoots up to 2 high with water uneven or not same level on all sides. Those measures when pump in about half a foot of water. Pump in deeper water gave a higher jet to 3 feet. I wrapped pump with a loofa pad to keep dirt out of motor, and weighed it with a flower frog.I feel generally satisfied with this pump (model PP12005K 6W mini fountain pump kit). Printed instruction gave no sample image to show what display to expect from each spray head, or how to join pipes since mine did not all connect with each other. It has a flexible 3-prong electric cord more than long enough for a small yard fountain, though I wished it had longer to let me extend pump into center of my chlorinated wading pool, where I have this set up. Maker does not say use this pump designed for use in swimming pools, though mine has worked continuously without diminished flow or fail. It and a string of LED lights around pool run off solar energy. I have pump's own cord connected to 25-ft grounded extension cord from an inverter, itself run by small solar panel storing sun energy in 12v battery. Of course, with this pump's low watt use, I can economically run if off house power with barely noticeable effect on electric energy cost.Though low end for this maker's listing of pumps here on Amazon, I chose this one for small energy use (though co. has lower one using 3w). Although minior crits or proviso above, maker and pump get 5 stars. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Pump gets a 5, the rest, a 1 *by R***N on July 16, 2014* The pump itself is great. No problems with it at all. But the fountain accessories are terrible. Notably, the heads that are supposed to make it either "mushrooom" or "fountain". You set it up and it looks great. You come back half an hour later, and it's doing something completely different (and not pretty.) So you fiddle with it and think it's OK now. Then come back, and it's dribbling or it's shooting off in weird directions. Admittedly, this might not be a problem in a proper pond, since you can have water going everywhere. I'm using this in an aquaponics fish tank (100 gallons) and it's critical that it NOT shoot the water over the sides, or it will drain the tank down to where I have the pump positioned half way down the tank on a support. I went out this morning and the water level had dropped almost a foot. Not acceptable. I just took the "accessories" off the top of the piping and let it gush.
