Review: A temporary fix, great find! - I decided to give this a try after seeing the reviews. I have a leak in my kitchen sink on two PVC pipes. My landlord is very slow to fix things, so this was my temporary solution. (I don't want to move because my rent is exceptional and the neighborhood is great) I tried this on one side and used the whole roll to be absolutely certain that it would stay in place. Like other reviews mentioned, it is difficult for the tape to stick to anything but itself. I found that when I started wrapping the tape, I needed to hold one spot in place and then stretch the tape as far as I could and then start wrapping it around itself. Once I had the first wrap done, it was very easy for me to start building the other layers of tape around it. I ordered another roll for the other side of my sink and it has seemed to be holding up pretty well on each side. They have both been wrapped with tape for around 2 weeks. I noticed a tiny bit of leaking the first two-three days after wrapping, but now I see no leaks at all. I think over time, the tape fuses to itself more. I had to keep buckets under my sink for a long time and now I don't have to worry about them anymore. I understand that this is a temporary fix, but this was much easier (for the moment) than hassling my landlord or trying to replace the sink myself (which I really don't want to spend the money on). My advice to others would be to take your time while wrapping the tape around whatever you need to. If you have a bigger project, I would suggest buying two rolls at a time to be safe. It's quite easy to run out of one roll if you're not paying close enough attention like I did. I am satisfied with my purchase and it has provided me peace of mind with leaky sink pipes.

**Q: Does this have any smell, odor, offgassing, or VOC's 24 hours after application?**
A: I used my application on my auto while outdoors. I did not notice any noxious oder while handing it. I used it a number of years ago to seal ground wires on the chassis from water and corrosion. It has maintained its seal under the hostile environment of a car engine compartment. Now if you are concerned about using it in the presence of an animal such as a bird, I would contact the manufacturer. Hope this helps.

**Q: Fix sprinkler pipes?**
A: My project was extending a water line for a new hose bib. For some reason a slow leak at a “t” couldn’t be stopped so I used the rescue tape. It took many layers of tape but after several months no leak so it worked. But plan to wrap the tape around the pipe many times. And I was dealing with a slow leak. If your pipe has a constant flow of water type leak I would not trust the rescue tape.

**Q: would this also work to fix holes on the bottom of shoes? Like canvas or vans shoes?**
A: No

A: Hi Sunny,
There is no need. Rescue Tape already has a mylar plastic backing, so it will last for years for whenever you need it. Rescue Tape only fuses when stretch and wrapped back onto itself. Use as much or as little as you need at a time.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good stuff - with limitations.

Pretty much a specialty product. Calling it 'tape' is kind of misleading. It is only adhesive to itself. But it does adhere to itself very well. It's more like a flexible, solid epoxy in a roll. In my humble opinion, it's prohibitively and unjustifiably expensive to use where another product, like duct tape or plumbers epoxy, will work. Will not work as a flat patch - must be wrapped and stretched and overlapped to stick to itself. In many cases it effects a permanent repair - garden hose, some electrical, and some non critical plumbing repairs. A non-accidental cooling hose leak on an automotive type engine would indicate replacing the hose is due at the earliest opportunity. But can make it a non-emergency situation. I highly recommend this product. It is incredibly good at what is's supposed to do. Just be sure to realize the limitations.
