I have been considering a dog car seatbelt restraint for a while now. We have a 70lb labrador and the thought of him flying into the back of us at 70mph is pretty terrifying. Combine this product with a harness and you and your dog will be much safer.This particular model is a dog seatbelt clip - meaning that it just clips into the normal seat attachment point. I think these are the best solution because you are using the hardware that is already installed in your car. Those seat attachments are designed to take the stress of a fully grown human so the weight of your dog shouldn't be a problem. I saw that one of the other reviewers was unable to make these fit their vehicle - I was concerned about this, but I tried them in a few different cars that I have access to at work and it fit fine (Hyundai, BMW, Honda, Ford).I guess the one negative would be the packaging that it comes in. If you are expecting a box then you will be disappointed - the two straps came loose in a standard amazon cardboard shipping sleeve.
