Both are working fine. 100% better than the antique that we used to use. We bought the optional filter for it since our tap water here is full of stuff. Considering my physical condition, we maybe should have considered getting one that filled from the top but I have been managing OK with this one. I rest the tank in the sink to fill it and it's not all that heavy to lift it and set it back on the base.The mist that comes out is cool so I can leave it right out on the table where I want it without worrying about the cats burning themselves. It's very stable so they can't knock it off the table or open it to spill the water. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Glad I purchased this *by S***Y on March 27, 2019* Bought two and use them in the family room and bedroom. Finding that I sleep better with these running. They run at 40% on up to 75% with one gallon of DISTILLED water it runs about 10 hours. When filled to the top it runs about 14 hours. Have yet to have these units run for 100 hours, maybe it's because the rooms are bigger than 250 square feet. ### ⭐ Hygrometer doesn’t work *by J***N on March 7, 2019* I got this humidifier yesterday. Easy to setup and use. I plugged it in in our bedroom and let it run a few hours before bed. I had it set to 45% humidity so it should shut off once it hits that percent and come back on once the humidity drops. When I went to bed I had placed a separate hygrometer on the other side of the room and was showing 40%. The one on the humidifier was at 42%. It ran all night and used almost a gallon of water. In the morning the humidifier showed 37% humidity in the room while the other one was showing 70%. Now it doesn’t take a genius to figure out which one is right. If it’s adding moisture to the air the percentage shouldn’t drop. Needless to say it’s going back. I could still use it and not use the auto feature, but why not spend half the price to get one without that feature if you can’t use it.Also, the led display is very bright and can’t be shut off.
