She knew I’d just love it, and I DID! Oh my word, it was divine. When the final drop was gone, I knew I needed to track it down. I was downright giddy when I found it on amazon. When I ordered, I was a bit worried it was going to be a fake... But it wasn’t! It was the exact same vanilla. And the flavor profile is outstanding. When you add this to baked goods, people will ask you what the secret is... and now I kinda feel like Ina Garten, saying “good quality Mexican vanilla!” LOL! But it’s true. It makes ALL the difference. Seriously, I did a side by side comparison between store bought Watson’s vanilla, another store bought so-called “organic bourbon Madagascar vanilla” and this Usumacinta Mexican vanilla. No comparison!!! The other vanillas had a strong alcohol scent that was overpowering when compared to this one. This vanilla has a smooth, luxurious aroma that is just heavenly. My pies, cakes, cookies, etc, are all elevated to the next level with this stuff. Even a simple whip cream tastes divine when you add this. When I ran out I tried to find a website for the company and didn't, so I went to Amazon for more. The aroma is wonderful! The flavor is a real addition to anything you use it in. I used it for my Divinity (candy) I made last Christmas and it added so much to the candy, has a much better flavor than the vanilla form the grocery store. Everyone loved it and I got compliments on the flavor. It enhances meringue on pie, cookies, frosting, everything! The purchase price is good for the amount you get. I'm not sure what the fluid used for the vanilla is, because the ingredient is only listed as Pure Vanilla on the bottle. Hopefully, it is not one of the fake-processed vanillas. The bottle is so pretty, it makes me happy. The flavor is a rich, fragrant vanilla, and I only need to add about 1/2 tsp to 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt for the whole bowl of yogurt to smell like sweet sweet vanilla without adding sugars. It's changed my yogurt game so much already. I infuse my coffee grounds with it as well-there the taste isn't as pronounced, but aroma is everything. I will do more research on the company and may update my review if I find the vanilla isn't pure. However, for the price, and trusting the label as it is, this is the closest I have come to finding (economically) the vanilla my mother would buy in Mexico that I grew up with as a child. I cannot compare it to other vanilla brands/products, and some reviews suggest this is not what they were expecting flavor wise.
