I have a Ford E250 van. I could pump only a little at a time and the pump would stop. I did some research and watched some YouTube videos. Everything pointed to this as the problem. The EVAP canister. My van has 190k on it, so nothing was a surprise. This item is set in a super heavy duty bracket in the spare tire location. You have to remove the spare to gain access. Don't understand why the bracket is so HD. I mention that because it made it harder to replace. Took me a few hours. Got the new one installed, works great, now I can fill the tank without it shutting off every few seconds. Got to the point where I would get only about $15 gas at a time, due to it shutting off so much. Now it's like born again. No problems, this item solved the problem. I can fill the tank no problem. Review: Fixed filling issue! - This solved the issue of not being able to fill tank with fuel. (The pump would stop as if the tank was already full.) Of course you can't go wrong with Dorman. Immediately fixed problem.
