This knife does all of that exceedingly well! It came extremely sharp and after many uses I still haven't had to sharpen it yet. The sheath is simple and snug fitting. No signs of rust or staining after several times in the dishwasher. But it sure didn't help me out the way I thought it would. Whenever I watch videos of people filleting it looks like the knives don't bend or catch at all.
