Kayla is such a riot!!! The things that she did had me laughing so hard that I had tears!!! Her and Cooper are a great match and I love their story. I wish that the book would have been an actual novel so that their story would have been more in-depth. I feel like we just got the cliff note version. It was good but it just seemed like there were parts missing. I wish there had been a little more background like there was with Jaxson and Julia. After all there are years of history there. But don’t get me wrong this was a great way to end the series. I’m anxious to get started on the spin-off series based on what happened at the end of the book however I think I might take a little break first. I love the characters in the series and have grown attached to them. They are a great combination and a perfect example that you can still have a family even when you do not share the same DNA. The saying that blood is thicker than water is not necessarily true. Sometimes the blood has too much thinner in it and sometimes water has a lot of thickener in it. I just absolutely love this series!!! If you are looking for something great to read then you should definitely check out the series!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Kayla & Cooper *by J***H on Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2015* MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS - Cooper & Kayla never did quite thrill me as a couple compared to the other alpha males. Coop is definitely dominant & bossy in the bedroom, a good dirty talker. As they are waiting to walk down the aisle to get married Kayla tells the girls about their love story. These two are opposites & we see that right from the beginning. Kayla is not quite 18 & teases him in the hot tub next door. Cooper is trying to become sheriff & doesn't think he could date Kayla until this point since he doubted he could keep it in his pants. Kayla shows her age - she is impulsive, doesn't think things through, is incredibly jealous, puts Cooper's job in jeopardy. When she goes to a party after throwing a fit about a girl hanging on Coop, Kayla gets manhandled by a guy at a party & Cooper has had enough, wanting to smash this guy's face in but knowing he has to stay under control. What troubled me was how little he controlled his anger in front of Kayla, that she had just been hurt & yet he really lets her have it. He ends the argument & any potential chance of a relationship with her by basically saying that Kayla spreads poison wherever she goes. "I can't let myself love him anymore." Coop is way too harsh but the good part is that Kayla takes his words to heart in a positive way, apologizing for the wrong things she's done, keeping her crazy wild spirit without causing more problems. The author does a great job of describing Kayla's pain at this hurtful words...and I just couldn't go back to liking Coop after that. He is all sweet & romantic, shows up at her prom, promises that the minute she turns 18 they are going to get it on. "I have no doubt, Kayla, that you were made just for me." I'm confused, not sure there are going to be more books in this series or spin off stories or what. My all-time favorites are Cade & Ruthie. She still calls him Big Guy & does their little fist bump. She even convinced him that she should be his "best man." Who can resist little Ruthie? ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Sizzling Hottttt Stars! *by N***R on Reviewed in the United States on April 2, 2015* I have loved Kayla and Cooper since Fighting Temptation and couldn’t wait to get my hands on this story. I have always wanted to know how they came to be and KC Lynn delivered us such a beautiful story to let us know.Cooper has always been the quieter of our Men of Honor (well not quite as much as our Cade, but close ☺). We know he loves Kayla from the first three books and I have always just assumed that she was kinda in charge. She is such a feisty and sassy girl and she really does do some crazy stuff and he kinda just lets it slide…. Well guess what I was so wrong, because as quiet and reserved as we think good ole Coop is, ya its so not the case….he is totally in control.“You need to be careful of the games you keep playing with me and my d**k” he whispers, his tone as smooth as whiskey. “Because next time, Kayla, I will not be responsible for my actions, and believe me when I tell you, you are not ready for me, baby. Not yet”Kayla has definitely met her match in Cooper and together they are just fantastic!!!!! She has been in love with him since she was 14 years old and it was so awesome to watch her claim her man!We also get to visit with our favorite characters from the rest of the series, which I am always happy with.
