While it is soft, it is not lush but thin. Not the kind of carpet your feet sink into if that is what you are looking for. We have pets and so for, over the past 3 weeks to a month, it has held up well under the pressure from my dogs. If you are walking on it or conducting normal activities, it is slip resistant. However, if like my husband and boys, you plan to run around the living room, goofing off, you need to get some kind of grip to install underneath to prevent it from slipping. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Surfs up!! The rug seems well made with no lingering chemical smells and cut very tight like your first crew cut as a kid.One of the benefits of the rug is you don’t have to leave your living room to go surfing, the waves are endless but eventually will flatten out after enough surfing has taken place. So far, great rug which I am pleased I bought, especially for the low price of $71, hard to beat I would think, it looks rather expensive so don’t volunteer the cost to your date, just surf and enjoy the endless undulations.The rug looks best in natural light as the colors really pop when exposed.I would have left 5 stars but for the many waves however they say it will smooth out in time, probably when it’s time to get a new rug. Just joking around, great rug for the price.Surf report update:Surfs down but there were two weeks of great action.
