Review: Totally Awesome Chair…..with two suggestions - This is the second one I’ve bought. It is really easy to operate, very comfortable, and reasonably priced. I read a post dated July 9th by Sureshoe on this chair and took his advice and have a bit more to add. First, Sureshoe suggested tightening the screws some to prevent the nut from coming off. Great idea. Now, add to that some LocTight/ thread lock compound to the threads exposed as in pic. This will add to the probability of the nut staying on. Second, I took some 3/4” foam pipe insulation (3/4” hole and about 2” in diameter), made a slit along the slit line in the foam tubing and cut four 5” pieces to attach to the corner bottom braces so as to buffer the hard ground or ground irregularities. By protecting the braces this way, the plastic is less likely to wear out or crack. They are attached with two zip ties. Next, I attached about a 20” or so piece of the same foam pipe insulation around the lower part that comes up to meet/hold one’s feet. The pic shows the three zip ties I used…..with…..the pulled out tabs for tightening the zip ties facing downward away from where my legs/feet will rest. Now the chair is, imho, perfect. It rests on padding not wearing out the plastic corner braces, has padding for my feet, and the nuts are more firmly set and less likely to loosen up and fall off. I have owned many of such chairs for camping, porch use, and for hours of sitting at car shows and these are simply THE best I’ve come across. After a while with the “pool noodle like” foam pipe insulation, I replaced them with a denser foam pipe insulation and put a rubber tape on the bottoms to protect the insulation from an abrasive ground. The cheaper pool noodle type foam tended to pop/crush real easily causing me to redo with the denser pipe insulation. I also double rolled with pipe insulation the foot rest so there is no digging into the backs of your legs when resting your feet/legs on it. I used 3/4” ID for the covering of the metal leg piece and 11/4” ID to go over the first covering. Using the next size bigger allows for a more thorough wrap on top of the first. Btw…..when I put the foam on the bar prior to the zip ties, I put rubber cement on the metal bar and the inside of the foam so as to prevent free rolling. I also used rubber cement on the outside of the first foam and on the inside of the second foam all prior to doing up the zip ties. See pics 4-7. This did not take too long to do and is well worth the effort. It also does not cost much to do. Both my chairs have been working great and my long legs no longer get that “dug in” soreness after resting them on the double-padded foot rest while napping in the chair on my porch. Well…..spring is almost here, and my wife decided she wanted one of these too. Yep….I ordered a third chair and got it today. It came quickly and had no damage. I put the lock -tite on the 4 or 5 nuts on each side and it’s ready to go out to the screened in porch soon. Just thought you might like to know that my buying a third one means I really like these. After all, my car show chair (lots of sitting) did half a season last year just wonderfully.
Review: Well built good value - Love the chair. Bought to replace another ZG chair. Wish it were a bit higher in profile. Just had knee replacement surgery and getting in and out of chairs can be challenging if they sit too low. I like the side attachment for drinks and phone but wish it were attached because if you forget and fold up the chair it falls off. Well built and good value for the cost. Use a pool noodle to cushion the foot rail.

A: I'm 5.7" and this chair fits me fine. I have a injured lower back and it's the most comfortable chair I've sat in. I even sleep in it when my spine hurts. Great purchase.

A: I’m 6’4” I’ve used one for years my feet hang over the end and my ankles rest on the bar. I just use a pad and it’s just fine, great chair to sit and relax in.

This is the second one I’ve bought. It is really easy to operate, very comfortable, and reasonably priced. Hello amazonians! How about getting away from paid reviewers and hear a review from a real person with nothing to gain! I know.... it's weird. 1. Chair is great! Nothing wrong with it. I'll add it's lighter than previous zero gravity chairs I've bought. Mentioning that just because I didn't see it mentioned in the countless auto-reviews. Light. Easy to recline. Lock in the spot you like. 2. I'm 5'11" and while I don't mind lying my legs over the footrest bar, I wish it was 2" longer. This would require the chair to sit up taller and be overall....longer. I feel this chair is optimized for a 5'9" person. Lying my legs over the bar isn't a deal breaker but when I put my feet up on the bar, bending my knees, I'd prefer not to bend then so much. It's a little short to get a 5 star rating from me. I wish they had small, medium, large choices. Oh well. 3. Table is garbage. See my photo. It's hard to tell with the angle but look how much my beer is tilting. See that? I've already spilled one. (Sad face) I actually like the design idea. Click the table on the legs on either side of the chair and you're done. Unfortunately it sucks. Also the amount of options on the table is flawed. There's: 1 small cup holder in the front. 1 large cup holder in the back. A phone slot. And a magazine/book/tablet slot. Too much. There's not enough flat area provided. Ideally they would offer just the large slot. You can put anything in it and don't need the small phone slot. Keep the large drink holder in the back, make it bigger, and you're done! The drink holder in the back will hold a 16oz pint glass. Wanna put your yeti/hydroflask/etc 40oz thermos in it? Nope.... If you have one of those top heavy thermoses with the smaller bottom, it'll fit. And the small drink holder in the front holds nothing, really. Except maybe your vape pen. They should make the back drink holder big enough to hold 40oz thermoses (most common size sold) and with the removal of the front drink holder (do you really need two drink holders???) have the rest of the table a flat surface so you can rest things on it. When I sip my beer and try to put it down, the edge of the glass keeps falling in the phone slot, tipping over. Super lame. I agree with: is it really that hard? Touche But remember....I'm in chill mode, bra. Stuff gets tipped over easy.... Chair is great overall. Wish it came in multiple sizes for people (most people..) over 5'7". Fire the table design guy! :) just kidding, don't fire him/her. It sucks though. Good idea! Try again.... Lastly...it would be nice if the chair had a pocket on the back of the chair so you can put the table in it when you fold up and are ready to leave. You're left to carry this tiny table with you that can get easily lost. These are super small changes with the exception of the multiple size chair suggestion. If they did this, Id be the ultimate zero gravity chair.
