When I used the same brush on my high/low 70's carpet, it did the job, but I had some concerns again about how hard I should scrub. Then came the Berber carpet, where with very little scrubbing with the Mothers Carpet and Upholstery Brush I snagged it. What did I learn? This brush, while very well made and easy to grip, should be tested out on an area of the fabric or carpet you plan to clean prior to committing to use it on a large area. It's tough! Too tough for some jobs that require a gentler touch.
