I had heard and read of horrible tales of bedbug infestations and how once you get one there is absolutely no relief since the infestation keeps recurring. I bought the king size protector to protect the mattress and ourselves from the blood sucking pests and have not really tested the product for wet spills. After getting the mattress and bed treated professionally I was informed that there is a chance of recurrence. And I would need to vacuum the bed and mattress for 3-6 weeks. I vacuumed once and then covered it with LUCID Encasement mattress protector and I must say I am delighted with the product. I have not seen any physical evidence of bed bugs nor have I experienced any itchy bites. The protector fits well on my mattress and is very comfortable- you don’t feel it at all. We have slept peacefully since our purchase and I am thrilled that I have not had to dispose my bed or mattress. Highly recommend for relief from bedbugs but do get the bedbug treatment first.
