The phone is easily removed, yet unlikely to fall out if the zipper is left ajar. Inside, the case is lined with soft fabric (protects the screen) and no exposed seams (= no fraying).This bag easily fits my iPhone 6Plus with Tech21 Impact case. But, that's not all: both sides of the case have simple pouches for extras, like credit cards, lip gloss, notes, a key or two. One pouch is zippered for secure storage, lengthwise to the case; the other pouch is unzippered, enabling quick access. Very thoughtful! Overall, the case holds the cell phone and a few necessities, yet doesn't invite bulking up with clutter.So far, I wear my bag over-the-shoulder or crosswise. The size, weight, and especially the vertical design make it comfortable and unobtrusive. (A former bag was built in horizontal orientation, which didn't work well for me: it gapped open when unzipped, it projected forward and backward from my waist,etc.)The strap color matches the bag color. The fabrics are substantial yet flexible. The lines are clean, nice stitching, leather zipper pulls...much attention to details. This morning I compared the clasps from a previous back Aapporto purse to my new tan purse. The clasp from the black purse is 0.100 inches thick. The clasp from the Tan purse is 0.080 inches thick. You can even see the difference in the image. I like the Tan color, but not with this clasp.I will be looking for a new purse with a better clasp and will measure each purse clasp from now on.
